Yvonne Blakeley, age 82 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Born February 5, 1936 in Hinton, WV, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Stevens.
Yvonne devoted her life to her faith and family and was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Blythedale Seventh-day Adventist Church in Perryville, MD where she attended with her husband, Wilbur. Yvonne was a retired sewing machine operator who worked for several textile companies, most notable for Fawn Grove in Rising Sun, MD.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Darlene “Neva” Sadler and her husband, Jim of Port Deposit, MD; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her sister, Vicky of Pennsylvania.
A service will be held in Yvonne’s honor at 11am on Monday, September 10, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery in Colora, MD.
