Wilma R. Lilley of Dover, DE, age 89, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born in Menfro, MO on April 30, 1927 to the late William Carl Richter and Freida (Kieninger) Richter.
Wilma was a member of Newark United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening in her vegetable and flower gardens. Wilma found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved family.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas M. Lilley, daughter, Lisa Lilley Orth and her husband, Dr. Walter H. Orth III, and two grandchildren: Wesley and Helen Orth. In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her sisters: Helen Clements and Edna Barlow.
A memorial service in Wilma’s honor will be held at 2PM on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends may begin visiting at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to “Newark United Methodist Church” and sent in care of the funeral home.
