William J. “Bill” McAdams, age 53, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Bill was born May 4, 1960 in Ridley Park, PA to Hugh, Jr. and Patricia Ann McAdams.

Bill was a 1978 graduate of Rising Sun High School and earned his Associates Degree from Del Tech. He worked in the construction industry for 30 years where he was a job superintendent.

Bill enjoyed boating and fishing, and was a skilled sailor. He spent many years as the Cougars football videographer, taping every game. Bill was a huge Eagles fan which means he was frequently disappointed. What he enjoyed most was sharing a beer, some stories and making memories with his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Clare; daughter Sarah of Joppa, MD; sons Matthew of Elkton, MD, and Benjamin of Baltimore, MD; parents Hugh, Jr. and Patricia of Port Deposit, MD; brother Hugh, III, and wife Barbara, of Rising Sun, MD; and sisters Joyce Kopatch of Rising Sun, MD, and Pam Butkewitz and husband Mark of Calvert, MD.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 828 Aiken Ave., Perryville, MD 21903. Friends and family may visit 30 minutes prior to service.
