William H. Moore, III, age 79, of Newark, DE passed away on Friday, June 28 2013. William, who was known to friends and family as Bill, was born in Shiloh, NJ and was the son of William H. Moore, Jr. and Sara Smalley Moore.
Bill worked as a farmer for more than 50 years. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and square dancing with the Two By Fours Square Dance Group.
His is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth P. Moore; his sons, W. Michael Moore of Elkton, MD and Douglas P. Moore of Newark, DE; a daughter, Deborah Couri-D’Amico of Saddle River, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Trudy Anderson of Northeast, MD, Keelan von Homan of Hoboken, NJ and Georgia Couri of Saddle River, NJ; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 12, 2013 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Street in Newark. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Immediately following the service, everyone is invited for lunch at the home of the Moore Family, 273 Old Paper Mill Road in Newark. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association c/o the funeral home.
