Earl was the only "kid" I knew when we started school at R.S. Elementery. We " grew up " going to the Ebenezer Methodist church near Farmington. A good man !

To the world's best Pop-Pop, Words cannot express how much we miss you, but words can express how much we cherish all of the memories that we have experienced with you. From all of our time on the farm to phone calls and meals together, we will always fondly remember the time conversing, laughing and learning from you. Thank you for being a great example of a Godly man, father and loving husband. We always felt loved and welcomed when we were with you, as well as, when we were apart, since you stayed connected and invested in our lives. We love you so much and know we'll see you again! With love, Nicholas, Heather and Hunter
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Sorry for your loss. I use to work for Earl at Conowingo Power Company. I saw him off and on over the years and he always recognized me right away. It probably helped that him and my Dad, Jim Clark, worked side by side at the power company. My Dad passed away on December 29th and I know exactly how heartbroken you all feel. Earl was a good man and I often think about him. I plan to attend the service planned later this year.

I've always felt blessed to be his niece and felt total love when in his presence. His affection for Peggy was a lesson to all of us about what true love should be. He earned everyone's admiration for his kind and sweet nature. As sad as this is for us all, there is no-one I feel this is truer for - he is absolutely in heaven with his love.
Peggy Bowman left a message on January 6, 2021:
Marie, Joey, Casey, Ceara, Devan and the entire Simmers Family, One of gods greatest blessings to me was to be able to know Mr. Simmers in my lifetime. He was a kind and gentle soul who never had a bad word for anyone. The love and kindness that he gave to his family and friends is something to be treasured. I will remember him always with love, kindness and a great story to tell. I will miss him dearly. Love to all. Peggy & Kevin Bowman
David Bradford, Chaplain Post 194 left a message on January 6, 2021:
To Earl's Family, There are no words which can adequately express our deep and abiding sympathy for your loss. Regretably, nothing that can be said will return the touch of a loving hand or the music of a voice now stilled. Earl's friends at Mason-Dixon Post 194 will sorely miss him, but will fondly remember him. He was a good man. We pray that the family takes solace in knowing that Earl is now at peace and with God.
