William Charles Kaelin “Bill,” age 51, of Port Deposit passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA to Helene Kaelin (Herold) and the late Robert Kaelin. He was a member of the American Legion Post 194, as well as a Veteran of the Army Reserves and Air Force. Bill worked for CSX on the railroads for over 16 years. His most recent position was as a Safety Inspector/Trainer and considered a “walking example of safety.” Bill was also an avid motorcyclist and particularly loved his Harley. He was a social butterfly, always the life of the party and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Bill has a “do as I say and not as I do” attitude and lived his life to the fullest.
In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jennifer; son, William C. Kaelin, Jr. “Billy;” daughter, Nichole S. Kaelin; brother, Robert Kaelin, Jr.; sister, Kimberly Ballurio. Bill was preceded in death by his father.
A celebration of William Charles Kaelin’s life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will be called to visit starting at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Bill’s name be made payable to “American Cancer Society” and sent in care of the funeral home.
