William Allen Spry, age 21, of Elkton, MD died suddenly due to the result of an automobile accident on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was born August 1, 1996 in Baltimore, MD, as son of Karren and Allen Spry.
Will was a graduate of Elkton High School Class of 2015. He was also a graduate of the Cecil County School of Technology. Will worked in facilities at the University of Delaware. He loved riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. His number one hobby was cars. Specifically, he loved mustangs and spent much of his time working on the two he owned. Will also enjoyed playing video games with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers Bobby “Bucky” Helsel III (Sabrina) of Elkton, MD and Daniel Helsel of Elkton, MD; sister, Danielle Helsel of North East, MD; grandmother Earsie Schleifer. Will is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Will is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert R. Schleifer and William L. Spry; and sister Julia K. Spry.
An evening viewing for William Allen Spry will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit starting at 10:00 am on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children” or “Cardiovascular Research – Christiana Care Health System” and sent in care of the funeral home.
