Willard Guy Kisner “Bill”, age 84, of Newark, DE passed away Monday, August 16, 2021. Bill was born on May 25, 1937 in Grafton, WV to the late Aubrey Dowden Kisner and Hattie Wickwire.

Bill started as an independent trucker and eventually worked for Overnight Transportation Company for 22 years. He was considered a real “motor-head”, was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything. Bill also built his son’s street racing cars. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping in RV’s. Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge #1295 in Middletown, DE.

Bill is survived by his wife, Joan Kisner; son, Ed Kisner and his wife, Lisa of Frisco, TX; son, Bill Kisner and his wife, Kim of Chesapeake City, MD; daughter, Iris Brown and her husband, Lee of Lewes, DE; grandchildren: Lauren, Austin, Andrew, Gregory Kisner, Hunter Brown, Cameron Brown; great-grandchildren: Zakary, Stella Kisner and 2 on the way; brother, Terry Kisner and his wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Arlene Kisner.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may start visiting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be immediately after at Head of Christiana Cemetery.
