Wilfred Alphonse Marquis, age 82 of Port Deposit, MD passed away on August 6, 2016. He was born on March 2, 1934 in Milford, Maine to the late, Wilfred A. Marquis and Ann (Murphy) Sevigny.

Wilfred enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, boating, and going to the beach.

Wilfred is survived by his sons: Mark Marquis of Port Deposit, MD, Stephen Marquis and his wife, Leticia Rios of Hockessin, DE, David Marquis and his wife, Tammy of Churchville, MD, James Marquis of Joppa, MD, and Eric Marquis and his wife, Alicia of Port Deposit, MD; daughter, Michelle Heaps and her husband, Scott of North East, MD; his companion, Ruth Minnick of Port Deposit, MD; brother, Michael S. Sevigny; sister, Barbara Dionne; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Rosalie Dupuis.

A celebration of Wilfred’s life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:00AM where family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will follow the service at St. Mark’s Cemetery, 175 St Marks Church Road, Perryville, MD 21903.
