Wes was a good friend of mine back in the "60". I was shocked to hear he had passed, we sure did some crazy stunts as we tried to attend HHC. He will surely be missed. He was a good guy, and I am sorry for everyone"s loss

Spent a lot of time in my late teens and twenties with Wes. We did a lot of crazy things for those days. Wes was a Marine and never talked about his time overseas or awards. Was sorry to hear of Patty’s passing shortly before Wes. Was glad he was interned at Arlington , deservedly so. I’ll miss him and Patty, I’ll remember our good times together.

Der Veasel and I shared our Marine Corps enlistment from Platoon 279 on Parris Island right through to the end. We spent our years posted to the same squadrons of the 2nd Marine Air Wing. Indeed, for a couple of those years, we shared the same living cubicle in barracks. Wes' quick wit and facile tongue even out-smartassed me. His buoyant spirit and clever optimism taught me a lot.
Farewell, Wes. You live in my memory.
