Weltha Jones age 92 of Elkton MD passed into her savior’s arms on June 18, 2015 with her loving family by her side.
Weltha was born in Harts, West Virginia on June 24, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Rush and Louisa Blair Workman. She was preceded by her late husband Harry C Jones Jr. who passed away June 1985. Weltha worked for the DuPont Company retiring after 30 years of service.
Weltha was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to various states playing her beloved game of golf.
Weltha was blessed with many friends, and never met a person she didn’t like. She was a member of the DuPont Country Club and life member of the VFW post #8175, American Legion Auxiliary 15, and the Moose Lodge of Elkton, she was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Cecil County, and long time member of the Elkton United Methodist church.
Weltha was preceded by her seven brothers Cecil, Jake, Joe, Hollis, Harry, Jim and Jay Workman. She is survived by many niece’s and nephew’s to numerous to name.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Nurses and staff in the PCU unit of Union Hospital for the kindness and care showed to our aunt Weltha and our family during this difficult time.
Services honoring her life will be held at 2pm on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home 259 East Main St, Elkton MD. 21911 with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be Elkton Cemetery following the service. The Rev George Leathrum will preform the services.
