












Wayne K. Swank, age 63 of Elkton, MD passed away on June 14, 2018. He was born on December 5, 1954 in Chester, PA to Donald Dodge Swank and Mildred C. (Ihant) Swank.
Wayne was a sales associate at Home Depot for 15 years. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and would find time to go to the movies, play board games, read the Bible, and raise fresh water fish. He particularly liked raising betta fish. He enjoyed listening to music including Queen, The Cars, and Christian rock. Many will remember Wayne as prompt, organized, and friendly.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Melissa Swank and her fiancé, Mike DeBergalis; son, Zac Swank and his companion, Bethany Konkiel; former spouse and life-long friend, Ann Marie Swank; grandchildren: Taylor Swank, Cole Hernandez, Cam Hernandez, and Americus Tatyana Swank; and sister, Donna Taylor-Ferguson.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Bailey Ann Zebroski and brother, Bill Swank.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc. 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Gilpin Manor Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “AI DuPont Children’s Hospital” and sent in care of the funeral home.
