Wallace “Wally” Adams, 72, of Rising Sun, MD passed away August 23, 2014.
Born July 19, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, Wally was the son of the late Wallace M. and Helen C. Adams. Wally served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. He worked at the Perry Point VA Medical Center where he retired after 30 years of dedication and he was a member of the American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun, MD. Wally was passionate about golf and was an enthusiastic Raven’s fan. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh; but what Wally enjoyed the most was spending time with his wonderful family, especially his grandson, Adam.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Leah Snider and her husband, Thom of Columbia, MD; grandson, Adam Snider of Columbia, MD; two sisters-in-laws, Ruth Graybeal of Calvert, MD and Peggy Morrison and her husband, Don of Perryville, MD; brother-in-law, A. Paul Kaye of Baltimore, MD; niece, Cheryl Orrichio of Bel Air, MD; and nephew, Michael Kaye of Jarrettsville, MD.
A memorial service will be held in Wally’s honor at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Course at Rising Sun (Chantilly Manor County Club) where Rev. Ray Graham will officiate. Family and friends are invited to join the family for refreshments following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the American Cancer Society in memory of his mom, Helen and sent in care to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S.
