Virginia R. Wrigley, 90, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away July 6, 2012 at Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, AL.
Born on December 31, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, Virginia was the daughter of the late Leo and Ma Belle Pennock Rossell. She was schooled at P.S. DuPont High School and Beacom Business College. She married in 1941 and after the war pursued a 25 year career as a health agency executive. She served as Ruling Elder of White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church and later painted a wall mural of the 275 year history of the church. She studied art at various locations in GA, TX, DE and AL. During retirement, she pursued a career in fine arts and after re-locating to Alabama, tutored private students.
A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Dennis Macaleer, will be held at White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
