Paul and Family, I was so sorry to learn of Virginia's passing; a great loss to many friends. I met her when she was a room mate of Nellie Sumpter. She had grace, happiness, love and sharing. I did so enjoy visiting her and Aunt Nell. My deepest sympathy is with you.

I was so sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. I had the privilege of working with Virginia at Cecil Community College for many years. She was without a doubt one of the college's most valuable assets. She was kind and sweet and greeted everyone every day with a warm and sincere smile.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

With tears I write this message. I'm in Florida today but just because I'm not there doesn't mean I don't love you. I'm having trouble putting all my feelings into words.......Please just know that your "amazing grace" towards myself and my family will never be forgotten. I love you

Kind and considerate, Mrs. Virginia Samuels was always willing to lend a helping hand to students and employees of Cecil College. “Let me know if I can help you with something that's what I’m here for" are the kind words she would say to everyone. Years ago, she was instrumental in creating a scholarship to assist non-traditional adult students with their education. The scholarship was named the Virginia Christy Samuels Scholarship. She was reluctant and proud to have a scholarship in her honor. Mrs. Virginia always had a special place in her heart for all students …especially students who needed training to enter back into the workforce. Compliments from Mrs. Virginia were often and sincere. There are so many fond memories of Mrs. Virginia Christy Samuels. I will treasure the memories!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of dear, sweet Virginia Samuels. What a darling little lady with so much love, grace, compassion & a true heart from Jesus she was. I worked at Cecil & also took classes there in the 1990s. When I left, I would keep in touch through letters & she would always write such sweet letters back. I was able to visit with her at Calvert Manor. I have prayed for her many times. She was just so special to so many--a very bright spot in my day whenever I saw her or spoke to her. Great is her reward in Heaven. May God Bless you all with special memories at this sad time & may Jesus hug you all with his unexplainable peace. With Love & Prayers, Gary W. Holmes, II. Elkton, MD.
