Dear Maryann, I can't BELIEVE so much time has gone by since your Mom's passing. Wow--do you EVER proudly look like her! I had not the slightest idea she served the U.S. in WW II. Nothing no one can say can totally-if at ALL--console one in the loss of a Mom. I will just say I have gone through it myself. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I will contact you directly ASAP, given my OWN situation. LIFE--loved and cursed by me--"Losing My Religion"? You "get" me, I am sure. Love--Greg P.S.

To the Peggy and the Mahoney Family, I have worked with Violette for almost 8 years at HeartFields in the activities department. Even though I got to know Violette during her later years in life, she still was a wise and wonderful lady. She touched a lot of us each day and always made us smile. One of my favorite memories of Violette was each year we would honor Veterans for their service to our country. Violette was proud when she talked about her time in the Navy. We would display the pictures of the residents in their uniforms, and she was so proud of herself and what she did. She was our only female resident who served, I would always tell her how cool she was! That made her smile. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know we loved and cared for her like she was apart of our family at HeartFields. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Amy Smith Activities Director HeartFields at Cary
