Victor C. Webb, Sr., age 90, of Rising Sun, MD passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018. Born on November 24, 1927 in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Reece B. and Osa (Reedy) Webb.
Victor served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946. He owned and operated several mushroom farms in the Rising Sun, MD and Oxford, PA areas. Victor greatly enjoyed his work, but his most cherished moments were spent with his family. He was a long-time member of West Nottingham Presbyterian Church as well as a member at Harmony Lodge where he was a 32nd degree Mason.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Grace V. Webb; son, Victor C. Webb, Jr. and his wife, Polly; daughter, Sandra Henderson and her husband, John Ralph; sister, Thelma Howell; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers: Hubert, Clyde, Homer, and Dennis; and two sisters: Edith Parsons and Zeola Shupp.
A celebration of Victor’s life will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church, 133 Harrisville Road, Colora, MD 21917, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “West Nottingham Presbyterian Church” and sent in care of R.T.
