Vernell Elizabeth Robinette, age 86 of Elkton, MD passed away on June 6, 2017. She was born on November 20, 1930 in Banner, VA to the late Monroe McClellan and Ida (Ringley) McClellan.

Vernell enjoyed being outdoors, but she loved being a mom. Family was the most important thing to her.

Vernell is survived by her daughters: Ann Evans and her husband Wayne and Janette Zangrilli; son, Stanford Wayne Robinette and his wife Antoinette; grandchildren: Steven Miles and his wife Dawn, Mari J. Robinette Deasel and her husband Jerry, and Daniel Robinette and his wife Carey; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Macel Robinette and son-in-law, Lou.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Banner, VA.

It's been days since you left this earth. We will continue to miss and love you. You are always in our hearts. It will be unbearable not being able to see you again, so I'll say goodbye for now. Thank you for you son, my husband who has a gentle heart. I will love you forever. You are the other mother I received the day I wed your son and I thank you mom for the loving things you've done. So sorry to hear of her passing , but she is at peace now. Mrs Robinette was a good women, Wife , Mom & Grandma. Always seemed gentle to me, but yet strong . My heart truly goes out to you on her passing . Love you all! Will call you soon. Peace & Love to all!

I am grateful to have known Vernell for as long as I did. She was the kindest woman and had a heart of gold. She always made me feel loved and cherished. I'll miss her dearly. I am so glad she got to meet my husband Lon and that he got to know her a bit. I love you Mrs. Robinette. I know you are whole and happy now! We'll see you later!

She was a wonderful Grandmother to me and I am thankful for her influence. She taught me to be strong and soldier on no matter what. I will miss her forever. <3 Mari

I spent many a day at their house during mid 50's to mid 60's as friends of Ann and Janette.......remember her and Mr Robinette as very nice people and always had kind words for everyone.....
