Travis Ezell Riley, age72, of Elkton, MD, and formerly from Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his home in Elkton, MD. He was born on July 12, 1944, in Perry County, AL, to the late Floyd and Velma Terrell Riley.
A skilled and talented finish carpenter, he worked as a cabinet maker for several manufacturers over the years until his retirement. He was known as a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially his family and friends. Travis enjoyed watching NASCAR, and cheered his favorite driver, #8, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was also a devoted lifetime fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
Travis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Ann (Sanders) Riley, of Elkton, MD; his daughter, Marie Reeves, and her husband, Gary Sr., of Elkton, MD; sons, Tony Riley, and his wife, Donna, of Coker, AL, and Travis Riley, Jr., also of AL; five grandchildren, Christina Offidani, and her husband, Anthony, of North East, MD, Gary Reeves Jr., of Elkton, MD, Emily Reeves, of Elkton, MD, Keith Reeves, and his wife, Jessica, of Elkton, MD, and Justin Riley, of Coker AL; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his three brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service was held at 11AM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Union Cemetery, 440 Union Church Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
