Tommy Coleman Jr. of Wilmington, DE, age 63, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. Tommy was born on April 29, 1957 in Grundy, VA to the late Thomas Tommy Coleman and Dolly G. (Owens) Coleman.

Tommy worked at Chrysler as a foreman on the assembly line. He enjoyed working on cars especially his purple pickup truck. He played football and baseball at Delcastle and enjoyed playing games such as dominos, checkers, Chinese checkers and also enjoyed being a bingo caller. Tommy will be lovingly remembered as stubborn and funny and his impressions of the Donald Duck voice.

Tommy is survived by his son, Tommy Coleman III and his wife, Jessica of Bear, DE; daughter, Brandy Miller and her husband, Guy of Newark, DE; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Goodwin of Newark, DE; brother, Barry Coleman and his wife, Tammy of New Castle, DE; brother, William Coleman of Clermont, FL; brother, Ricky Coleman of Gilbert, AZ; nieces and nephews: Tiffany Sullivan, Barry Coleman, Christopher Coleman, Jennifer Graham, Neil Ellis; aunts: Linda Marshall and Berniece “Sissy” Cioci; uncle, Dean Owens and his special friend, Jimmy Allif. In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by his sister, Jamie Lea Coleman.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at R.T. Foard & Jones 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where friends and family may start visiting at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be held immediately after at Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2220 North Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Seasons Hospice” and sent in care of the funeral home.
