Timothy N. “Timmy” Brooks, age 58, of Colora, MD, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born on February 21, 1959 in Havre de Grace, MD to the late William Harley and Jewel Keys Brooks.

Timmy was a commercial truck driver, working for several companies including Ryder, and delivering materials for Quikrete. Always willing to lend a hand, he was an active volunteer, serving with the VFW #8175 in Elkton, MD, the American Legion #194 in Rising Sun, and the Moose Lodge. An avid NASCAR fan, Timmy attended many races on the East Coast cheering for his favorite driver #88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr..Timmy enjoyed relaxing on the beach in Ocean City, MD, playing corn hole with his family and friends, and singing karaoke songs from his favorite artist, Alan Jackson. Friendly and helpful, Timmy was known as such a joy to have and be around by those who knew him, and they will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his fiancé and longtime companion, Gwen Trammel, of Colora, MD; brother, Richard W. Brooks, and wife, Anna, of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Kimberly Flaharty, of Elkton, MD, and Kathy Brooks Albright, and boyfriend, Richard Matoni, of Middletown, DE; daughters, Sheila Snelling, and husband, Chris, of North East, MD, and April Buckland, and husband, Boyd, of Conowingo, MD; four grandchildren, Jamie Buckland, Jackie Buckland, Joshua Snelling, and Collin Snelling; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Chris Trammel.

A Life Celebration will be held 11AM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may visit from 6-8 Pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will follow the service at Harford Memorial Gardens in Havre de Grace, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to “American Kidney Fund” and sent c/o the funeral home.
