Thomas J. Booth, Jr., 63, of Bear, DE, passed away unexpectedly April 22, 2015 at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 26, 1952, Thomas was the son of Shirley R. Booth and the late Thomas J. Booth, Sr. He was a graduate of Archmere Academy and later earned degrees from the University of Delaware in both Business and Engineering. Thomas was a self-employed consultant. He was a sailing enthusiast who enjoyed navigating the upper Chesapeake bay around Turkey Point. Thomas also was passionate about sports cars. He gave of his time as a volunteer with the Cobblestone Civic Association. Above all, his greatest love was for his children.
In addition to his mother, Thomas is survived by his son, Michael Booth of Elsmere; three brothers, Jeffrey Booth and his wife Teresa of Elkton, Brian Booth and his wife Cathy of Newark, and Bradley Booth of Mason Neck, VA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son Tommy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE 19702 on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breakfast Mission and mailed to R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
