Thomas C. Hitchcock, 78 of Elkton, Maryland passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026. Born in Elkton, on June 22, 1948 he was the son of the late Irvin and Reba Mae Hitchcock.
Tom as he was known by family and friends enjoyed playing the guitar, watching sports and restoring classic cars. He also enjoyed playing the slots at Delaware Park.
He loved his many projects around the house and being outside.
After 18 years he retired from Cecil County Public Schools.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Patricia A. Timko Hitchcock.
Tom is survived by his children: Pamela Hitchcock Muschler (Peter) of Staten Island, New York, and Thomas R. Hitchcock (Yvonne) of Havre De Grace, Maryland and grandson, Joshua A. Hitchcock. Tom will also be missed by many family and friends.
Dress code is summer cool and casual.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026 at R.T. Foard, 259 East Main Street, Elkton, Maryland. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Elkton Cemetery.
