








Terry Lee Wasko, age 61 of Fair Hill, MD, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. He was born April 28, 1953 to the late Anthony and Anne (Mucha) Wasko in Kingston, PA.
Terry worked as a financial planner, most recently with Karr Barth Financial Planning in Bala Cynwyd, PA. He was part of one of the first groups to earn the title “Certified Financial Planner” in the State of Delaware. Personable and social, Terry took great care and concern for his clients, working with each to achieve their goals and handling their affairs with strong, good advice and judgment.
He loved to spend his down time with his family and friends at the beach. Terry also had a great passion of shooting off fireworks, and several of his shows are known to have been interrupted by local town officials. A football fan, he followed the University of Delaware and the Baltimore Ravens. He traveled often with his family, going on cruises, and visiting Florida and especially Disney World. He loved music, and listened and collected anything by the Beatles and their members.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diane; daughter Julia Wasko and fiancé J.C. Wilson of Elkton, MD; son, A.J Wasko of Fair Hill, MD; brothers, Scott Wasko and wife Sharon, and Jeffrey Wasko and wife Amy, both of Newark, DE; grandson, Tristen, to whom he was an especially proud “Pop” , and to whom he marveled at his intelligence and enjoyed play time; nieces and nephews, Chris, Carly, Abbey, Lauren, Jill, Tori, and Marirose; mother-in-law Rosemary Wufsus; sister-in-law, Janet Wufsus; brothers-in-law, Mark S. and Joseph J. Wufsus and Shelley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 455 Bow St., Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit from 6-8PM on Thursday, January 29, 2015 and again from 9:30-10:30AM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. Burial will follow the services Friday at All saints Cemetery in Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to “Gastric Cancer Foundation”, c/o The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513.
