Ted Gambill, 90, of North East, Md., passed away on June 29 of pancreatic cancer. Ted worked as an English teacher at the Naval Academy Prep School in Bainbridge and later as an instructor at the U.S. Army Proving Ground in Aberdeen and was for many years active in Grace Bible Church of Zion. A most beloved father and grandfather, Ted spent his life making other people feel happier. As Huck Finn, the main character in his favorite Mark Twain book described another character: “He was sunshine most always—I mean he made it seem like good weather.” He is survived by his three children, Nathan Gambill of Lexington, Ky., Neil Gambill of Potomac, Md., and Angela Ney of Naples, Fla. along with eight grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
