Sylvia Aronowitz, 94, of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014. She was born in Hartford, CT, on March 10, 1920 to the late Anna and Bernard Bernstein. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and married the late Paul Aronowitz. She lived in Brooklyn for most of her life when at the age of 76 her son moved her to Havre de Grace, MD, to be closer to family. She enjoyed many happy years with her family living in Maryland. Sylvia is survived by two children: Nadine Montesano and husband Jimmy of Brooklyn, New York, and Robert Aronowitz and wife Joey of North East, Maryland. She is also survived by three grandsons; Jeremy, Alex, and Jack Aronowitz.
Sylvia was a wonderful mother and will be remembered for her eagerness to help others. You will always be loved.
Graveside services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church, 1100 Philadelphia Rd, Joppa, MD 21085, with Reverend Paul E. Austin officiating, on May 2, 2014 at 1:00pm.
