Suzanne L. Baker, age 63, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021. She was born on December 27, 1957 in Wilmington, DE to the late Warren F. McGalliard and Bernice I. (Elliot) McGalliard.

Suzanne was a homemaker in the true sense of the word. She always made certain to prepare a home cooked meal that was enjoyed as a family around the dinner table every night. She made her family feel loved and always took the time to say “I love you”. Suzanne took great joy in cross-stitching and crocheting which she learned at a young age from her mother. She was known for making the best zucchini bread, jelly, pickles and Polish sweet bread.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 46 years, Carl E. Baker of Elkton, MD; three daughters: Chrystal Caleb and her husband, Michael of Elkton, MD, Jennifer Heitz and her husband, Charles of Charlestown, MD, and Heather Mastriania and her husband, Joseph of Willow Street, PA; seven grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Karley, Emily, Shane, Thomas, Andrew, and Tyler; and two sisters: Gwendlyn Cook of Middletown, DE and Nancy Snipes of Millsboro, DE. In addition to her parents, Suzanne is preceded in death by her daughter, April Dawn Baker.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 where friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
