Susie Miller Pruitt, 71, of Colora, MD passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at her home.
Born November 23, 1942 in Elkton, MD, Susie was the daughter of the late Curtis and Orpha Hamilton. Susie enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She regularly attended New Bridge Baptist Church with her husband, Robert.
Susie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Pruitt; sisters, Gilberta Deaner, Loretta Howell, and Judy Cornelius; and brothers, Joey and Michael Hamilton. Including her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hamilton and her brother, Curtis Hamilton, Jr.
A service honoring Susie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at New Bridge Baptist Cemetery in Colora, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the New Bridge Baptist Church and sent in care to the funeral home.

So sorry to read/hear of Susie's passing. We shared the same birthday and although I am a relatively new member of the Monday Morning McDonald's Bingo Gang, I enjoyed Susie's company and her welcoming spirit. Later, I found out that while I was running a medical office in HdG, Susie was running one of the floors at HMH - so I'm sure we knew each other (at least by phone) for many years. I did have the honor of helping you travel a very difficult road and you did it with great courage. You can learn so much about an individual even without saying a word.
