Susan Richards of Wilmington, DE, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. She was born on July 23, 1950 in Vienna, VA to the late George and Helen Thomas.
Susan earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Political Institutes and Weidner University then went on to work as a paralegal for 25 years. She was a Vista Volunteer and also volunteered teaching English to grade schoolers. Having a great passion for reading, Susan owned enough books to open her own library. The north western United States was a place she loved to visit, especially the Seattle area. Susan found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.
Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Jay C. Richards of Wilmington, DE; son, Samuel R.T. (Ana) Richards of Wilmington, DE; granddaughter, Hanna Richards of Wilmington, DE; and three sisters: Janet, Cass and Patty. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Susan will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
