Stewart Kenneth McNutt. Jr., age 80 of Newark, DE passed away on May 6, 2024. He was born on July 8, 1943 in Wilmington, DE to the late Stewart Kenneth McNutt, Sr. and Helen May (Madish) McNutt.

Stewart served in the Air Force Reserves in 1964. He later became a Truck Driver which he loved. Stewart’s grandchildren were his world and he always made sure to support them and attend their ice hockey games when they played for the Delaware Junior Blue Hens and Philadelphia Little Flyers. In his earlier years, he belonged to a few bowling leagues. Stewart found great joy and relaxation while driving cross country. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends. Pinochle was his favorite. You can’t forget about football-he loved cheering on the Indianapolis Colts!

Stewart is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol McNutt; son, Stewart McNutt, III (Kelly); daughter, Kimberly Figgs (Thomas); and grandchildren: Jacob Figgs, Jackson McNutt, and Emma McNutt.

A celebration of Stewart’s life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11AM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may attend the viewing at 10AM. Burial will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Accent Care” and sent in care of the funeral home.
