Stephen “Steve” Charles Elliott, a lifelong Delawarean, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, at the Regal Heights Nursing Facility in Hockessin, DE. Our loss here on earth is Heaven’s gain!
Steve was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, and is lovingly remembered by his first-born son, Stephen “Steve” Charles Elliott, and daughter Julie Elliott. Both children are from his first wife, Anne Marie González.
Steve is preceded in death by his second wife, Lyndal Yeager, and shared in the love and parenting of 3 surviving stepchildren, Monica Carver Kreck, Roc and William Carver.
Steve’s friendly personality, wealth of selflessness and gentle smile will be sorely missed by his third wife, Christina Johnson, and their surviving sons, Jebediah “Jeb” Elliott, Joseph “Joe” Elliott, Jesse Elliott, and daughter Bethany Elliott.
Steve was blessed with 3 grandchildren and is lovingly remembered by Christina Elliott Kaufmann, Tamara Elliott, and Eliza Elliott, and a recently born “great” grandson, Aldous Randall Kaufmann, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Steve is also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Edward Elliott and Helen Edith Fallon, and his sister Robin Elliott, and survived by his brothers, James and Richard Elliott, and sister, Faith Elliott Sroka.
Steve was a friendly soul, very likeable, and worked as a self-employed contractor for 29 years until he was forced to stop due to illness. He shared a lifelong passion with his fellow Pro-Life warriors, addressing abortion as a social justice issue, befriending women and helping them with the decision to give their unborn child the miraculous gift of life. He was an avid sports fan, and had a special place in his heart for the needy and homeless. Most importantly, his family and friends meant everything to him.
Steve had a huge heart for God and shared His endearing, unshakable, unconditional love for us, and he would often demonstrate his love for Jesus with his favorite quote: “By His stripes, I am healed!”
