I'm was so heart broken to hear the news, that Stella had passed. About a week before she went home to be with the Lord, I had the sweetest conversation with Stella.. I went into check on her before the end of my shift....she had Billy Graham on TV. Stella asked me if I believe in Jesus, I said yes! I asked her if she believed in Jesus, she said yes! She asked me if I was saved, I said yes! I asked her if she was saved, She said yes! She told me where she accepted Jesus as her Savior, I told her my experience. At the end of our conversation...we agreed to look for each other if/when whoever went first. I have replayed this sweet conversation over and over in my head....We all Love Stella......and miss her so Much... She was the highlight of our day at Laurelwood...

Stella Temple was my great grandmother. She was always nice to me whenever I would visit her: she would always make sure I was well fed (mostly with chicken noodle soup because she knew that I loved) and entertained. On Thanksgivings, my mom, dad, and I would go over to her house and she would make awesome rolls, chocolate pie, and turkey. When Poppop and I would play games or put together a puzzle, she would sit right next to him on her rocking chair and watch us. I miss those times, but I will always remember them. I love my great grandmother (Granny) very much. She is a wonderful person and I hope that she is happy wherever she is.

Mom Mom words cannot describe how much you are loved and how much we are going to miss you! You have always been there for me. You and Pop pop were such a big part of our lives and no one will ever be able to fill that void. We are left with many good memories that we will always cherish. I was so blessed to have you in my life for almost 48 years! I know you are now with all your family that has gone on ahead of you and I know I will see you again. Until then you'll forever be in my heart!!!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

We are so sorry for your loss. Please know we are thinking of your family during this difficult time. I knew if we needed to find Mom (Joan, PeeWee) on a Friday all we had to do was go to Sue's and we would always find Mom, Stella and Jeanette. Reunions were a great time because Stella made the best chocolate pie. With Sympathy, Ken and Denise Gibney

On my last visit to Mom Mom she told me to always cherish the ones that you love. Life is so short. I remember someone that could work circles around those much younger. She was vibrant and happy. I feel so blessed that my granddaughter, Shaylee, got to spend some time with a woman that loved and cherished her family.
