Sophie Promutico, age 84, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Union Hospital.
A lifelong resident of the Elkton area, Sophie would often start her days at Lyons Pharmacy for breakfast where she would socialize with her many friends. She was a longtime fan of the Orioles. Sophie also enjoyed doing latch hook rugs, playing bingo, and tinkering with any mechanical device that peaked her curiosity. She also loved owls and had a large collection of owls and many things with an owl theme.
A service will be held 11AM on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at R.T. Foard F.H., PA, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 10AM. Burial will take place at Cherry Hill Cemetery following the service.
