Shirley Ann (McDonald) Knight, 60, of Elkton, MD, passed away at her home on November 10, 2012 surrounded by her family.
Born in West Grove, PA on April 30, 1952, Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Turner. Shirley’s first love was her family and was a devoted and loving grandmother. She enjoyed camping, shopping and the beach; and was a fan of country music.
She is survived by her husband Harry I. Knight; two daughters, Amy McDonald and her husband Tim of Galena, MD; and Tina Honaker and her husband John of Elkton; her stepdaughter Angela Knight of Newark, DE; 6 grandchildren, Tara and Kevin McDonald, Amber and Colin Honaker, Cody Elswick and Brett Knight; 2 nephews, Bobby and Chris Brown; and a sister, Linda Wright and her husband Terry of Elkton.
A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 6 pm. Burial will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan B. Komen Foundation c/o the funeral home.

John & I enjoyed her pleasant disposition, we had many camping trips with her & her family .One time @ sleepy hollow in Pa it was a rainy night & my husband John got the crew to hunt for pine cones to build a bonfire & a big one it was . John added a little gas to get it started & some gas came thru the rain trough & we never saw anyone move so fast as Shirley's mom Dot & my mom Gladys did we had a big bonfire & a great time & nobody got hurt , It was hilarious . Another time Shirley was playing darts & landed a dart right in John's hip pocket & he was @ a dead run trying to get away from her .These are a few fond memories we had with her too many to list everything
