Shirley Ann Arches Gregson, 76, of Elkton, MD went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Born November 28, 1939 in Westerly, WV, Shirley was the daughter of the late Joe W. and Diane (Boyce) Crain. Shirley was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and former Moose Lodge 851, both of Elkton, MD. She was an avid bingo player, loved going to the casino, and greatly enjoyed going on cruises with her husband. Shirley’s biggest joy was spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Joe Gregson; son, Ron Arches and his wife Linda; daughter, Sheila A. Pannell; step-son, Eric Gregson and his wife Alexis; step-daughter, Anna A. Doerflein and her husband Jay; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Arches; brother, Vic Crain and his wife Mary; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Jim Arches; 6 brothers, William Crain, Wally Crain, Wadie Crain, John Crain, Bobbie Crain, and Larry Crain; and sister, Edith Chadwick.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends may visit beginning at 6:00 pm. Burial will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on a later date.
