Shareen Sue Clark, 61, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away at home January 27, 2012.
Born in Santa Ana, CA on November 9, 1950, Shareen was the daughter of Robert Earl Finley and the late Margaret McKean Finley. She received her BA in History from Long Beach State University and studied Interior Design at Eastern Carolina University and Maryville University. She was secretary/treasurer of Victory Performance and also was a school aide. She was active with the Republican Party as a member of Republican Women in North Carolina and Florida. Shareen also sang in the East Carolina Episcopal Choirs and in 1971, she competed in the U.S. Figure Skating National Championship Silver Dance, and won the Silver Medal pairing with her brother Curt. Her principal life’s work however, was as a devoted wife and mother.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rev. Jack Clark of Chesapeake City; two sons, Jedidiah Clark and his wife Rebecca of Washington, NC, and Zachariah Clark of Chesapeake City; a daughter Sarah Keniston and her husband Robert of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, and Matthew Clark and Nicolette Keniston; and a brother, Curt Finley of Davis, CA.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church at Town Point United Methodist Church, 61 Port Herman Road, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 on Friday February 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
