Sara P. Sheaffer, beloved wife of Mark A Kauffman passed on January 6, 2025, at the age of 29 years and her newborn Ellie’s passed on January 30, 2025, at the age of 4 months.
Both Sara and Ellie passed due to complications from a sudden heart attack, which deprived both of vital oxygen.
Sara met her husband Mark in June of 2014 by chance meeting while Mark was looking for his car in North Hampton, MA and Sara and her friends called out to Mark from a rooftop. There was no looking back as their relationship quickly bloomed. They had the joy of being each other’s best friends – intrinsically understanding each other. Their love was unstoppable through both good and hard times. In June 2024 they married with true joy in their hearts looking forward to the arrival of sweet Ellie.
As her husband, family and close friends will tell you, Sara had a brilliant and empathetic heart and a great sense of humor. She could do anything she put her mind to and would move mountains to reach her goals. Her husband and fur babies were surrounded by her love every day. She loved the outdoors and hiking. She dreamed of being a mom and was ecstatic with the news of being pregnant and expecting their first child.
Sara is survived by her husband Mark, her sister Laura Lee, her mother-in-law Lynn Ayars, father-in-law Jeff Kauffman and her Aunt Sharon Sheaffer who raised Sara. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Gore, and Robin Sheaffer.
Ellie is survived by her dad Mark Kauffman, her grandmom Lynn Ayars, granddad Jeff Kauffman, great grandad Roger Kauffman, grandaunt Sharon Sheaffer and so many extended family members and friends.
We would like to say a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania who showed the utmost care and love for Sara and Ellie.
