


























Salvatore “Sam” Michael Piacentini, age 66, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born on February 15, 1952 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Mario Piacentini and Theresa (Sanservero) Piacentini.
Sam had a great passion for cars which extended throughout all aspects of his life. He worked as a car insurance adjuster for over 30 years, first for Continental and then for MetLife. Sam was a member of NHRA, the National Hot Rod Association, and had a preference for American muscle cars. He loved to work on cars in his garage or would often attend car shows. Sam could also been seen at the race track where he would drag race.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Roseann Piacentini; son, Joseph Piacentini and his wife, Tiffany; daughter, Trisha Pytko; granddaughter, Molly Robillard; brother, Mario Piacentini and his wife, Mary Jane; sister, Carol Haux and her companion, Dan LeRoux; sister-in-law Bridget Suchezky and her husband, Gil; brother-in-law, Mark Improta; two nephews: Michael Piacentini and his wife, Tina, daughter, Melani: and Tony Piacentini and his wife, Ann; two nieces: Jennifer Frimpter and April Suchezky; grand-niece, Madison Frimpter; and long-time friend, Phillip Monteith.
A celebration of Sam’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held in Connecticut on Saturday, April 28th at 2 p.m. at St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park avenue, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the “American Cancer Society” and sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
