Ruth L. Clark, 87, of Elkton, MD passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014.
Born, July 9, 1926 in West Jefferson, NC, Ruth was the daughter of the late Eli and Cora Phillips. She loved traveling, singing, dancing, and going to the horse races at Delaware Park. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Ruth is survived by her loving companion Bobbie Beam of Elkton, MD; sons, Jerry Phillips of Middletown, DE, and Robert Beam of Ventura, CA; daughters, Linda Mitchell of Elkton, MD, Brenda Bowlin of Harmony, NC, and Doris Ann Foster of MD. Ruth is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 Great Grand Children. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Johnnie Ray Clark, Orville James Clark, and Jody Patchell.
A service honoring Ruth’s life will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1:00p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to Bobbie Beam, 554 Muddy Lane Elkton, MD 21921.
