Ruth Elaine Vincent

Ruth Elaine Vincent of North East, MD, age 90, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021. She was born on August 18, 1931 in West Jefferson, NC to the late Isaac Spencer Blevins, Sr. and Ola Mae (Pope) Blevins.

Ruth was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, first in Chesapeake City, MD Post 7687 and then with the North East, MD Post 6027. She loved to cook and was a great baker. Ruth was an avid reader who would read anything she could get her hands on. She also enjoyed listening to country music, sewing, doing crossword puzzles and watching her favorite football team, the Baltimore Ravens.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Elaine Roland and her husband, William; nine grandchildren: Kimberly, Nicholas, Bruce Daniel, Brandon, Rocky, Jessica, Serena, Gabriel and Christopher; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Joy Mitchell. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Vincent, Jr.; son, Samuel Vincent, III; daughter, Frances Vincent-Messick; and six siblings: Gertha, Mary, Margaret, Isaac, Jr., Harold and Evelyn.
