Russell Edwin Milam, age 75, of Elkton, Maryland, passed away on May 5, 2026. He was born on December 25, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Joseph and Fannie Lou (Wood) Milam.
He moved to Elkton, Maryland, in 1980 to work at the Chrysler Newark Assembly Plant.
While continuing his career, he graduated in 2002 from Delaware State University with a B.S. in Business Administration.
He was active in the Newark United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching in the Elementary Sunday School program for over 20 years.
He retired as Quality Manager in June 2007 after more than 30 years of working for Chrysler and spent his time enjoying art museums, concerts, theatre, travel and family vacations. He loved books and loved reading, was knowledgeable about almost everything, and enjoyed sharing his love of books through thoughtful gifting. Above all, spending time with family is what brought him the most joy.
He was known as a kind and understanding man. He was a reliable, steady and positive influence in the lives of all who knew him.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer (Roselle) Milam; children: Daniel Milam (Courtney), Brian Milam (Alexis), and Mark Milam; grandchildren: Owen Milam, Louisa Milam, Cara Milam, Kaylee Milam, Declan Milam, and Madeline Milam; and sister, Patricia (Michael) McGillen. He was “Uncle Russ” to his many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
