Born to Julius and Marie Wieser in Rockville Center, NY, November 22, 1930, he grew up on Long Island, NY.
Rudy served his country in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Settling in Maryland after his last naval assignment to Bainbridge, Rudy went on to teach electronics at Kent County High School and Cecil Community College, retiring again in 2005. He was also a carpenter, wood worker and self-employed contractor for friends, family and neighbors throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his first wife, Carol Wieser, of Chesapeake City, his sons and their wives, Clifford and Gina Wieser of Weston, MO, Steven and Inga Wieser of Leonardtown, MD, Phillip and Becky Wieser of Springfield, VA, Jeffery and Monica Wieser, of Chesapeake City, his daughter, Evelyn Wieser-Gerres of Elkton, step-son, Tom and Stacey Walsh of Hockessin, DE, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His daughter, Madeline Wieser, predeceased him.
