Ronnie “Dowski”/ “Pappy” Lynn Steele, 45, of North East, Maryland, passed away on October 21, 2025. Born on October 19, 1980, in Elkton, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ronnie Lynn Hylton and Deborah (Boyce) Steele. He was lovingly raised by his grandparents, the late Pappy and Mammaw Boyce, who brought him up as their own.
Ronnie was a talented and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Electrician, known for his ability to fix just about anything. His hands were always busy—whether at work or in his free time, where he enjoyed working on cars and took great pride in detailing his beloved truck. He especially loved fishing, whether alone or with friends, and he cherished the peace and camaraderie it brought.
A practical man with a sense of humor, Ronnie was known among family and friends for his unwavering love of Purple Power degreaser—a product that became a running joke and fond memory for those who knew him well.
Ronnie had a heart of gold and lived with genuine kindness and generosity. He was fiercely devoted to his family, always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or drop everything to be there for his children. Being a “Pappy” brought him immense joy, and his love for his granddaughter was unmatched.
With a sharp and inquisitive mind, Ronnie loved watching the Discovery Channel, especially Ancient Aliens. He had a great sense of humor and was often the life of the party—bringing laughter and unforgettable memories wherever he went.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Steele.
He is survived by his loving children, Allyson Steele and her fiancé Ethan Walstrum, Andrew Steele, and step-son Tommy Kline; his cherished granddaughter, Alahna; his sister, Nickole Steele; and his beloved fiancée of nine years, Karen Kline.
Ronnie will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him; as he would say, “Love me while you got me”.
