He was a great teacher of mine at RSHS. I was the class of 87 and I thoroughly enjoyed the psychology and sociology classes I took from him . Little did he know what a great impact he had on my life and making me into who I am today . I will always remember him fondly . To the family please accept my Condolences. He was a great man and role model to all

To the family and loved ones of Professor Thompson, please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Professor Thompson for many years at Cecil College, but I was also one of his students in the early 1980s. I remember he told me not to quit my rather well paying job when I was being pressured by the current trend to give up my job so a male could have it to support a family. I was grateful to him for clearing that up for me. He was a lovely and compassionate man who just wanted to help everyone. I have the proof of decades of his service to mankind when I spoke with him about two years ago in Martins and he offered to help my husband quit smoking, free of charge. This world needs 10 million Ron Thompsons, May you all be comforted in your time of sorrow.

Ron was a great colleague and friend to me. He was one of my mentors as a teacher. I appreciate him taking time out to help me with advice for life's obstacles. I have warm memories of Ron, and many others, who attended Mr. Caffey's (model) Train Nights. And, on Super Bowl Sunday , 2005, Mr and Mrs Thompson inviting my two sons and me over to their house to sled ride in their front yard , and providing us with hot chocolate. Rest in peace, Ron.

Ronnie as I knew him was a childhood friend; he was a year younger than I, but Have fond memories of him. He was a kind and loving young man. I wish that I had known him as we aged. He certainly touched many lives with his caring and his skills.

I had him the 1st year he taught at RSHS 1970. He was the sexy HS teacher who wore turtle necks and sport jackets with leather elbow patches. He also taught me how to shoot rubber bands with killer accuracy. And he was the 1st teacher I ever had a crush on. He was scandalous because of his mode of dress and his longer then normal haircut. All the senior girls loved him and the guys wanted to be like him

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Thompson family. We were so blessed to know him, myself, for only a few years, and my husband remembering him from school. Ron was such a pleasant and kind man. We enjoyed talking with him at Christmas at Brian and Missi’s house, where he took such a liking to Andy’s son, and my step-son, Anthony. We will never forget him, and will miss him sorely. Prayers being said daily for the whole family. May your fathers memories sustain you all until you see him again one day, while and healthy, with tears of joy in all of your eyes. With love and deep sympathy, Sandy and Andy Dawson
