Ronald Thomas Rineer, Sr., age 71, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was born on April 24, 1946, in Wilmington, DE to the late Miriam Elwell Rineer and the late William Rineer, Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

A trained surveyor, Ron worked and retired from the State of Delaware as the Chief of Survey and then held the same position for Greggo and Ferrara for an additional 24 years before retiring for the second time. He enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, wood working, boating and spending time with his grandchildren. Ron was very involved with the Chesapeake City Little League and a faithful fan of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. He was a generous and genuine guy who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Paula; sons Ronald Rineer, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Lincoln University, PA, Rick Rineer and his wife Kristie of Lincoln University, PA and Rob Rineer and his wife Diane of West Grove, PA; brothers William Rineer, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Tim Rineer and his wife Mary of Georgetown, DE and Jim Rineer of Wilmington, DE; and seven grandchildren Ronny T, Haley, Matt, Zach, Emily, Bella, and Brie.

In addition to his mother and father, he is predeceased by his sisters Diane Subach and Ann Rineer and a brother, Bucky Rineer.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit two hours prior from 9AM to 11AM. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to “Chesapeake City Little League” and sent c/o the funeral home.
