Ronald J. Sharp of Elkton, MD, age 79, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas Ronald Sharp and Edna (Norisky) Sharp.
Ronald worked for General Electric and Aerospace Engineering. He loved boating, fishing, crabbing and hunting. Ronald was a Mason and was a member of the VFW in Chesapeake City.
Ronald is survived by his son, Guy Sharp and his companion, Monea of Elkton, MD; daughter, Dawn Bensinger and her husband, James of Campbellsville, KY; daughter-in-law, Sharon Sharp of Wilmington, DE; sister, Catherine Ebright of Chesapeake City, MD; granddaughter, Amanda Sharp of Elkton, MD; and great-granddaughter, Kylee.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte “Charlie” Sharp; son, Ronald Sharp, Jr.; and grandson, Joshua Ronald Bensinger.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Family and friends may begin visiting at 2 PM.
