I would like to thank you all for the love and prayers for my family and my grandfather. My life will never be the same without him. He was my best friend, my grandfather... my hero. He changed my life in 1000 ways. He was ALWAYS there for me when I needed a friend. My favorite memory with him was the times he would tell me stories at night when I couldn't sleep. I miss that man more than anything in this world, but I know he will always be with me. So heres to my grandfather. Rodon Ray Dermyer. I love you poppop. FOREVER AND ALWAYS

Don and I worked together on Market St in Wilmington for American Finance in the 70's. He inspired me in many different ways. Another person, Daniel Sheehan also passed away last year from the same office. Even though we no longer stayed in touch, I am very saddened by the passing of both these wonderful men.. Even though you would not know me now Betty, you are in my prayers

I was shocked to find out that Don had passed. I met him about 25 years ago in the old Swiss Inn Days. He was always smiling and had a good word. As years went buy I actually got to know him in the grocery store. We shared some stories. My sympathies to his family. I will miss him every time I shop.

Even though i only knew Uncle Don for 10 years of my childhood way back in the 1960's, I knew he was a special man, and i still feel his kindness to this very day. My favorite memory was getting penny candy, and sandwiches down at the boat marina. I'm sure he had a fantastic and fulfilled life! God Bless Doug

Dear Betty, Tonya, Mark, Cody, and Daniel , What a huge loss in all of our lives. Donnie was bigger than life and his zest for living was like the sun popping out through the rainy day clouds. You always looked for it an welcomed him easily into your heart. He loved his family and was so proud of each of you. Rembrr this daily. Until this week, i did not know that love and grief were so entertwined. God gives us loved ones , and when they leave us, there is a great depth of sorrow and emptiness. I am finding it difficult to accept that grief and sorrow are such partners. Please know My love and prayers are with each of you, and you are surrounded with love dAily. We are here for you. Anita

My prayers and thoughts are with the family. Don was a very kind and special person. When I moved here from New Jersey and met him for the first time, he made me and my family feel welcome and as if he knew us forever. Don was someone you could always talk to whether it was about his motorcycle, cars, or just general conversation. He also made my son Bryan feel welcome when ever he went to Don's home and slept over to hang out with his grandson Cody. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Till we meet again friend, rest peacefully.

Lots of wonderful memories of Uncle Don. But one favorite is of how myself and a couple of my cousins use to fight over whose turn it was to sit on his lap, Uncle Don always found a way to hold all three of us. And he always had a big smile and hug for you everytime you saw him. Really going to miss that smile and those big hugs! Love you Uncle Don. RIP

Betty, Tonya, Mark, Cody & Daniel - our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. Words can not express the heartache I feel for you all. There are many memories of Don for me as a child, the what stands out the most was trick-or-treating with Don, Bill & my dad in Locust Point, and they'd have us out way later then the traditional hours, fun times, we would ride in the back of the pick-up truck, and Don would always make sure we were all accounted for and ready for the next stop. Then there are the boating memories with Bill, Nina and my parents. Teaching me how to ski. I will always remember that day. He left us with many memories that we will all hold close to our heart. RIP Don, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all that knew you. Love, Jessica & family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
