Robert “Norman” Jugler Jr.,67, of Rising Sun, MD passed away June 4, 2021. Born in Havre de Grace, MD October 1953 to Robert “Bob” Norman Jugler Sr. and Josephine (Eder) Jugler. Norman was a loving son, brother, father, husband, and friend to so many, he will be deeply missed by all.
Norman began his lifelong love of vehicles working at a young age for his uncle’s Mobile Station in Rising Sun. He was known to “stress out” the local law with his need for speed, which precipitated his journey into the Air Force fresh from RSHS. It was that; or give his mother far too many gray hairs at a young age. From 1971 to 1978 he served honorably in the United States Air Force. At that time, he took an honorable discharge and continued his career in the United States Air National Guard at Martin Marietta from 1978 to 2006. Retiring with a rank of Sr. Master Sergeant from Munitions Ordinance. Finalizing his last run in a long Air Force career in 2007 as a retired reservist. He loved the travel, people and experiences that this life granted him.
After retirement, he joined his son in a new business venture and proudly worked along side him daily until his passing. This also afforded him the luxury of delving back into his lifetime love of vehicles, were he used his vast knowledge to buy, sell, collect, and restore many, many classic cars. His true passion being the Pontiac/GM muscle cars of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Everyone knew they could call Big Norm in a quest for info or obsolete parts for vehicles or any other project or problem they had. He was truly a giver to all and would help anyone he could with any request, if it was within his power. He never met a stranger.
He was a longtime fixture at the polls as he served as an election judge for many years., having taken over the torch from his mother. A faithful member of the American Legion Post 194 and a server of many community projects in and around Cecil County.
Norman’s greatest 2 joys in life were being a father who guided his children to be resourceful, aware, thoughtful of others and proud to call him just “The Best Damn Dad”. And most recently, finding out he was about to be a PopPop for the first time.
Norman is survived by his 2 children: daughter, Patricia “Trish” Jugler , and son Robert “Rob” Norman Jugler 3rd and his wife Cassidy. Loving mother of his children and lifelong friend and confidante Loretta Jugler. As well as, his siblings Barbara Jo Kriner and husband Bob, Richard Jugler and his wife Sherri; Frank Jugler and his wife Trudy; Andrew Jugler and his wife Carol; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and neighbors.
Norman was preceded in death by his father Robert Sr. and mother Josephine Jugler.
