Robert (Bob) Miller Meis Sr., age 84 of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born on August 5, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA to the late George M. Meis and Edith M. Meis.

Bob was a proud Coast Guard Veteran. Bob owned a computer aided drafting business. He liked boats and cars, specifically Corvettes. Bob enjoyed traveling within the south and southeast of the country, especially from Tennessee through Florida.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine Meis; daughter, Patricia Meyer; sons: Scott Meis, Robert Meis Jr., and Eric Meis; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Glines.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2023, at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21921, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the “American Red Cross” and sent in care of the funeral home: P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
