Robert L. Grubb, Sr. age 88 of Elkton, MD passed away on June 1, 2017. He was born on August 25, 1928 in Bristol, TN to the late Henry Grubb and Loana (Price) Grubb.
Robert was an iron worker and worked at Chrysler, Getty Oil, and various construction sites. He loved fishing and vacationing in Tennessee. Robert enjoyed listening to Blue Grass and played music at Sunset Park. He especially loved being with his family and his dog.
Robert is survived by his sons: Rodger Grubb and his wife, Maureen of Elkton, MD, Kenneth Grubb of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Grubb, Jr. of Elkton, MD, and Robbie Grubb of Rogersville, TN; daughter, Patricia Maynard and her husband, Robert of Elkton, MD; brother, Henry Grubb of Rehoboth, DE; and sisters: Stella Rogers and Norma Jean Trivett of Bristol, TN; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Juanita Hooker, Jimmy Grubb, Shirley Grubb, Bill Grubb, and Hattie Grubb, special friend, Joyce Justice and grandson, Robert L. Grubb III.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with a visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial will be private.
